В американском штате Иллинойс жители сообщили о по меньшей мере 12 торнадо, в том числе в городе Тейлорвилл с населением около 11 тыс. человек в центральной части штата. Самые серьезные разрушения зафиксировали 30 ноября и 1 декабря.
Отмечается, что во многих домах в городе обрушились крыши, произошли разрывы линий электропередачи. По словам губернатора штата Брюса Ронера, трое пострадавших находятся в больнице, еще 18 получили незначительные повреждения.
Ассистент пожарной охраны Энди Гудолл 30 ноября заявил, что по крайней мере 100 домов понесли серьезные убытки. Кроме того, в штате Миссури из-за торнадо погиб один человек.
